Upgrading KSW-12 ideas?

I am wanting to upgrade and go with more bass for my HT. I have a KSW-12 and would like more bass. I have considered getting a KSW-15, or perhaps a RSW-12 (more $$). The other possibility might be to go with another KSW-12 for dual sub action. Any advantage to that? Ideas please!

The room is 15' X 18' with 8' high ceiling, medium height carpet and paneled walls.

Dual subs will provide smoother bass, but not much more bass or deeper bass (unless the reduced standing waves eliminate a suck out at your listening spot in which case you may perceive deeper and louder bass). The KSW-15 will be a step forward but not a huge one. The RSW-12 will make a very big difference.

Thanks Bob. Would the RSW-10 be a significant improvement over the KSW-12 with respect to more accurate bass. Will it also produce more bass?? I like the idea of the RSW-12... it's just too far out of my budget.

You might want to try to upgrade you power supply. I have found the sound gets mutch more controlled and more extension in the bass.

You will need about a 100 watt transformer with a + and - 35V output. you can even try sealing the port for a less boomy sound.

A little bracing does wonders as well.

I have had VERY good results with mine.

jeffgeorge,

Roughly what's your budget? Have you considered DIY? My dual 15" could be duplicated for around $700-$800 depending upon what amp you choose. It will provide ALL the bass you'll ever need.

Check the HomeTheaterForum and search for "sonosubs".

Good luck...Mike

Thanks for all of your input. I will look into all of your suggestions. Mike, I don't want to say that I have a "budget"... you know what I mean?
