Rhetor
I am doing some vintage Klipsch collection . . . (isn't everybody?) I have a wonderful set of Original KG 4s . . . I have a chance to pick up an original set of Forte speakers . . . I entend to put them in the same setup if aI buy them . . . How do the Forte and KG 4 speakers differ? . . . They look similar (though I have only seen the Forte in picks)
Speakmeister
The forte is a way, way better speaker. You will most likely lose interest in the KG-4 quickly after getting the forte. They are better all the way around.
Ski Bum
Fortes are considerably more sensitive, dig much deeper, and can go louder than KG4. They have a more open, effortless, Heritage sound than KG4.
Tony Reed
In my mind, they're not even in the same class. I own both, and the Forte is head and shoulders above the KG4. Just my 2 cents, Tony
Rhetor
Thanks all, for the info. Definitely going to get some Fortes.....but not the pair I just located....no serial numbers, and from a flipper who knows nothing about them ... Got them in an estate sale and wants a $500 premium for them. Gonna wait on some Fortes that have been shown some love at that price...I am patient. :-)
