cnguyen
I finally upgrades all caps in my Forte II xovers - let them burn through for a day or so and here are my observations - the music is very well-balanced - more highs coming throuh - smoother vocals/instruments - music is more dynamics compared to slower moving music with the old caps by the way I only upgrade the caps with partexpress dayton 5% caps. they don't sound good at first glance but let the burn through and give the caps time to charge up. My system: - mx119/dac - mac 275 - logitech duet as music server - audioquest cv8 spealers cables - audioquest colorado interconnects - fiber optic cable kiliupsc forte II sound waybetter than the previous b&w 703 speakers I had. Tower speakers are not that goo by the way. I'm all for larger drivers....
wuzzzer
Glad to hear you're enjoying the results! The only thing original on my Forte IIs are the active and passive woofers. I'd like to think that if Klipsch were to make a Forte III they would use the upgraded components I have in mine.
cnguyen
Upgrade to new drivers are good ideas. Looking inside these forte's while doing the upgrades I can't believe how cheap the constructions were. Anyway they sound pretty good as is so I'm not doing anything more to them till they fall apart.
SuBXeRo
How many upgrades can you do before it ceases to be a klipsch ya know? Its always nice to screw around with new parts but at soke point it just aint a klipsch anymore
