ygmn
Anyone put the R5650 or similar wall speakers in the ceiling for surrounds? I amthinking of using the R5650S to difuse sound so not so noticieable overhead I am being forced to due funky room and no wall for them as it is all doors on one side. rear wall where it would go has big header beam holding up second story that I am not cutting into I just want my surround sound back for movies and do not want to be looking up when some special effect sounds off in movie... Moderators dtel Posted March 23, 2012 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2012 I put some other Klipsch in ceiling speakers in my sisters ceiling for rear surrounds. You can easily tell the sound is coming from the ceiling, her ceiling is about 10' high and I put them a few feet behind the sofa for rears. Overall the sound is good but you can tell where they are if your sitting on the sofa, maby a little further back from the sofa would help that ? It sure beats no rear speakers, hers are not the Reference models with copper cones, but the number is R-2800.
