Mborso1029
i have a onkyo 809 and a emotiva xpa 5.....I really dont like the way i have to keep turning zone 2 on and off when i turnn the reciever on to switch the amp on...ive been looking at purchasing a power center for my home theater any way and i see that these panamax power centers have a trigger input and output, im hoping id be able to use the trigger out put to my emotiva and not have to worry about zone 2. does any one have any experience with the m5400. the only thing i cant find is where does the trigger signal come from....if i still need an input that it puts me right back in the same place im at now with no true trigger from the reciever,>? im reallly hoping that this is going to work. i really dont want to do the wall wart stuff and i do not have a outlet in the back of the reciever. Groomlakearea51
The Onkyo defaults to Zone-2 off when you turn it on. If Zone-2 is coming on when it's powered up, you need to check the settings/ setup. Default should be Zone-2 off. I'd call Onkyo tech support to have them walk you through it if it's still coming on.
