LCSeminole
Two weeks ago I ordered new crossovers and titanium tweeter diaphragms from Bob Crites. Before this I had been actively looking for new speakers as I thought my Klipsch Legends front stage were past their prime. From reading on a few other sites and talking directly with Bob Crites, I figured I'd give the new crossovers and tweeters a try, especially since updating/modifying my speakers was well less than any new comparable speakers to my Legends. I received the new crossovers and titanium diaphragms early last week and took two days to carefully clean out and re-wire with the new parts. Now that I've spent the last three days listening, it's as if new life has been breathed into my Legends. It's almost as if I bought a new Klipsch Legend front stage with even better tweeters. The highs are more clear and crisp than I ever remember, and the mids & woofers are more defined and separated if you will. These new crossovers and titanium tweeter diaphragms are definitely one of two of the biggest improvements in my home theater, the other being room treatments. Any one wishing to restore their Klipsch speakers to at least their former glory, I highly recommend talking with Bob Crites.
t-man
I did exactly the same thing with my 20s and C7. I did it more for peace of mind, but I didn't notice a night and day difference so many hear comment about. For the reasonable cost, it was still worth it for peace of mind that everything is fresh again. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it (:
sthomas12321
The ti rweeter diaphrams made a huge difference for me. These things sound so good. Way better then they should at their prices. However, the poor glue issue really sucks
LCSeminole
I'm highly pleased with the Bob Crites crossovers and titanium tweeter diaphragms, definitely a smoother top end, yet extremely clean and transparent. My KLF-20's and KLF-C7 must have been manufactured towards the end of the Klipsch Legends run, as I was extremely surprised when I took out my woofers, tweeters and speaker terminations to see an over-abundance of glue where the overage had obviously run down the sides and on the bottom especially in the KLF-C7. I actually had to remove some from the bottom to get the crossovers to fit.
sthomas12321
ya, my late 01 klf 30's glue is great. Had to rebuild the 20's. The 20's sound good, but I realized how bad the stock tweeters are vs the titanium diaphrams I replaced on the 30's
