My main question is whether or not the installation kit is manditory, and what consequences may come from (possibly) not using the installation kit. PhilH Posted May 31, 2002 Share Posted May 31, 2002 JFK: It's recommended that your mounting surface be at least 3/8" thick to mount our In-Wall or In-Ceiling products.
