moray james Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Glad you ran the numbers I feel goos as I just scratched my head and figured 9 - 10 which will dig a tad deeper but might stretch things a little. Internal damping has a big impact and quality 703 Owens Corning on the side anf real wall will buy a little extra cabinet volume so 9 -10 incs ought to work fine.Personally I would experiment with blocking off the vent and filling the cabinet about 80% with 703 and listen sealed more bass extension and likely tighter mor articulate bass though perhaps a little lower output at box/vent tuning frequency but likely only a few db.
