MRC2011
Currently I am looking for some used RF-83's. I need some advice to assist me with my search. Does anyone know if RF-83's were ever sold as "B STOCK"? If so how can one detect them from "A STOCK"? What is the difference? How much was Klipsch didiscounting "B STOCK"? Would one expect to pay less for used "B STOCK"? Any tell-tell signs if owner does not disclose used speakers were "B STOCK" when new? Any help is appreciated........ I just want make sure ai know what i am getting.
Budman
i bought a set of cherry RF-83's that were B-stock from an authorized klipsch dealer ( Ronco ) the back label said they were B-stock. i never saw A-stock 83's so i can't tell you the difference. i could only find one blemish in the veneer and it was hidden when the grills were on. could have been a shade darker also i don't know. if the labels are intact and don't say B-stock they are A-stock. MRC2011
Thanks, If it is noted on the factory label, I have no concerns. I have started to see several pairs of RF-83's showing up for sale outside of this forum, and I wanted to be informed as I begin my selection process.
