Yes, you are correct. Adcom also recently released a GFA 555SE, which is identical to the original GFA 555II @ 200 WPC @ 8 OHM. Supposedly slightly better source components than the original,

I have owned the original 555II, the 5500, and 5802. The 555SE seams to deliver tighter bass response than any of the other models I have owned, While the 5802 delivered slightly better highs. Ever so slightly.

Tough to find a new traditional 2 channel amp these days, without spending $4,000.00+ Everything is going digital, and or multi-channel HT. The 5802 I had was purchased on the used market and lasted 2 years at best.

My original 555II still works after 20+ yrears powering a friend of mines bridged system with his original 555II.
