tromprof Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) Used to drive through Fuquay regularly when I was in HS picking up/taking home my grandmothers who lived just down the road I had the misfortune of breaking down there in 1981 in a VW Scirocco. I hiked over to the local gas station to see if they could help me out. They took one look at the Scirocco and shook their heads. "son, you gonna have to call over to Raleigh." They didn't know what to do with a "farrin" car. I'm sure the town is unrecognizable now. Can't write what we changed the name Fuquay Varina to, but you can probably guess.
