Safety
I have a couple of questions pertaining to subs. 1. What are the specifications on an LF-10? 2. Which is better the newer KSW-10 or the older LF-10? 3. Why did they discontinue the LF-10 and is the reasoning something I should be concerned with on a potential purchase? dougdrake
Safety - 1) 19Hz - 100Hz, 120db max output, 700w amp (peak 1650), about 14x13x16, 49 pounds, MSRP $1400 2) The LF-10 is way better than the KSW-10. They are in a totally different league. 3) The LF-10 had some production problems which caused an air leak in some of them. If you search this bulletin board using LF10 as the search term, you'll be able to read lots about it. Many have bought them and had success. Al Klappenberger
Safety, I baught a used LF-10 on eBay and it's super. I actually did a plot and it can be made to go flat down to 20Hz with ease! No air leaks in mine. Those passive radiators really move! Al K.

decibel man
Al, I also have a LF-10 and I think it may have a leak. If I turn the volume past 60% the active driver will bottom out with the very low end stuff. I am using line level and I just can't find a leak. Other than this problem it is really great. It is very fast and clean. Do you have any suggestions on how to find the leak if I even have one? Obviously, I have plenty of time left on the warranty to find the leak. RWMIN
On my first LF 10 I could feel the air blow from around the active and passive woofs. Just place your hand next to the woof and cabinet and see. You can also hear it but that would be difficult to explain.
