Muzyka
Quick question. I've been upgrading my HTIB speakers with Klipsch. So far I have a pair of KSF 8.5 towers for my front L/R. I was going to get the KSF-C5 center to match but I just came across the RC-3 center, which center channel speaker would be better? I plan on also probably switching out my rears with KSF-S5 and some bookshelf ones. I have a 7.1 setup. The KSF-C5 I found for $100 and the RC-3 for $
Moderators Youthman Posted January 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2014 That's hard to say. Typically the Reference Series is a higher quality speaker than the Synergy line. The KSF-C5 is the matching speaker for the KSF 8.5. I've never heard the KSF-C5 but FWIW, I've personally never been impressed with the sound of the RC-3. Muzyka
I love the sound of my KSF 8.5 compared to all my other speakers right now. I'm replacing all the Onkyo speakers I have. I really like how the horns sound in the pair I have now. I figured I might as well just stay within the KSF line. Prices are good and they sound good. Moderators Youthman Posted January 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2014 Yeah, I really don't think you would necessarily benefit from the RC-3 in your setup.
