Soundthought
I recently have been preparing to send in parts from my RF7s and my quartets. Probably looking at 2 or so months for their return. But, i wanted them in tip top shape for fall/winter. I've been feeling kinda funny about not having my "big" klipsch to relax me. Remember: "Music soothes the savage beast" So just as i pulled the last part, thus effectively ending my sweet klipsch sound temporarily, my buddy calls and tell me the local pawn shop just put out a set of KG3.5s Well, no sooner than i hung the phone up, I grabbed up my set of MTX C12s and headed on down there to talk deal. They were asking $400 for the set. Pretty good shape. Mismatched set with possible signs of repair. A couple of scratches but nothing major. I said "Whats the deal on these old things, do they sound good?" He said" I think so, i just put them out this morning." "Oh," I said "They look a little beat up and it seems somebody was working on them." He said "Huh, didn't even notice, still im sure their fine." "Cool" I said "Hook em up!" So we did (on his crappy old offbrand stereo) Sounded fine to me. Walked out with them for $100 and my C12s. Never liked them C12s anyway. I brought the KG3.5s home and hooked up to my Denon. They sound killer. Ha. Real killer. Man, what good timing. I was not liking having my two favorite sets of speakers out of commision.(for any lenghth of time). I think these 3.5s will be able to give me my fix. We'll see.
ShapeShifter
Wow...Quartets and RF-7's. Haven't heard the RF-7's, but have a pair of Quartets and they are impressive speakers for their size. Hope the repair and return is swift. ------------------ KLIPSCH IS MUSICf> My Systems f>s>c>
Soundthought
Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to pack and ship my drivers. I E-mailed Klipsch for their advice but haven't got a response back yet. Any suggestions? BTW, I really like the sounds i get from my RF7s. What a soundstage. They really put you there. I recommend giving them a listen. Still go back to my quartets for their feel. 6ft apart and 6ft from me in my office. AAAAHhhhhhhhhh.... Thats all i got to say about that.
