AUGIE Posted July 14, 2002 Share Posted July 14, 2002 In designing my basement in conjunction to my HT system I've come to a problem in how high I can put my center speaker. I'm using a SC 1 and would like to place it above my projection screen, about 7 feet with 8 foot ceilings, or is this to high? Will it be okay as long as I angle it down toward the main seating? Soundthought Posted July 15, 2002 Share Posted July 15, 2002 It shouldn't be a problem. Experiment with angle to get the best sound. Make sure to put some rubber feet on it so it don't come a tumblin' down on yer head. Although speakers do rely on part that there be some clearance from the ceiling. To allow for reflection. In the case of a center channel, most of the time you'll end up taming early reflections from the ceiling anyway. So put her up there and point it down. I hope you get good results.
