None the less, this is the best rendition I've ever heard. WMcD
LarryC
Really good catch, Gil! Although I'm not a pianist or good piano observer, I thought it was a very interesting performance, where the Japanese orchestra, excellent Swiss conductor (Dutoit), and Chinese pianist have an absolute unity of interpretation, tempo, and a very strong sense of musical logic. Her fingers move like lightning! Reminds me a bit of Horowitz. The adjacent thumbnail for her Tchaikovsky's 1st piano concerto is also very interesting -- not as fast or dynamic as other versions, but again, as good a sense of music logic as I've heard in this concerto. Thanks! Larry
