theryugo
I just refinished my KG5.2s-- How about the black plastic grills? If I taped them up perfectly, what would be the best finish to use on the plastic? They are quite scratched up, and now that the speakers are done, the grills just don't cut it---

theryugo
They were black lacquer cabinets with black plastic/cloth grills-- I just stripped and refinished the cabinets with stain and polyurethane so now they are a cross between mahogany and walnut color-- The grills are somewhat scraped up and I want to clean them up somehow--can you use polurethane, or some thing else to give them a nice finish? I'd like to keep them black---
justin_tx_16
i would get a VERY light sand paper just to get any of the deeper scratches out, but not too much sanding. then i would use a high gloss black spray paint. they look very nice, less chance of streaks or streams or brush marks. ------------------ -justin SoundWise Support A technical help site created by me and my fellow Klipschers promediatech@Klipsch.com /1-888-554-5665 - RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 s>
