asudhir Posted March 16, 2001 Share Posted March 16, 2001 Don't worry, everyone asks stupid questions sometimes Well it's actually better for the 4.1's to be hooked up to a 5.1 card because on a 5.1 card there is a front channel, rear channel, and center. The 4.1 speakers come with two 1/8" plugs that each plug into the front and rear channels of the 5.1 card. You just won't have a center channel, which is not much of a problem if you adjust the settings for your soundcard so that DVD's don't use the center channel.
