Maccagirl83
What is the best commercial (on the air right now) that uses a classic song? Is it creative? Or just funny...?? I welcome your thoughts... I like Ride Away by Roy Orbison- the Geico commercial.
Fjd
I haven't seen it recently; however, I thought the commercial "Chrysler Imported From Detroit" using a small portion of Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” that I first saw during the 2011 Super Bowl was a stroke of creative genius right up there with Chevrolet using the old Bob Seger song "Like a Rock." I first heard "Lose Yourself" watching the movie "8 Mile." https://youtu.be/BbAdyzVsHg8 The other commercials that catch my attention are the Viagra commercials that use Howlin' Wolf's "Smokestack Lightnin'." I love listening to Howlin' Wolf. https://youtu.be/LJYKaLA76t8

Jim Naseum
I watch commercials. Amidst the many boring ones, there are always good ones. Good ones to me (of course this is just my OPINION) are those that attempt to reflect the society back onto itself. I listen to the tunes, and am amazed at who sells their rights. Can't think of a current popular one now, but Target has used some good ones for sure. I really love the Subaru dog series. They've picked up in a major trend in society. Commercials are like a festival of ultra short shorts! LOL
