Using CAT5 for a recievers OSM

Recommended Posts

Will cat5 be good enough to use for creating a cable to go from my receivers online screen display out, to the input of my video? If so, would I use all wires or just pick one and only use it? And I am assuming just plain jane RCA connectors would work fine. yes?

Thanks

Are you talking about a on screen display output going to your TV?

If so, anything should work, however, I don't know how small the letters are, REALLY SUPER CHEAP RCA may fuzz up letters.

Ken,

Yes, it is the receivers setup menu that I want to see. Since moving my eqipment out to the theater room I have not yet had a chance to re-adjust my speaker settings.

Try it! Worst case ,you are out a few dollars in cableing and you try somthing different.

CAT 5 is tough stuff, and long runs are fine.
