Charles Turner
I have an old Sansui 5000X receiver (solid state, 60 watts RMS 8 ohms, my first stereo system) and I was thinking of using it for my son's first stereo. It's big, heavy, lots of knobs, wood cabinet...all the things you wanted in the mid 70s. I turned it on after 15 years in the closet and the right channel made some noise, faded out, and blew the right channel fuse. Any ideas? Is it worth repairing? thanks Cornwall Is Stax Lambda and SRM T1 tube Rega 25 turntable Micro Benz MC H2 McIntosh MC225 McIntosh C15 McIntosh MR71
djk
I fixed a lot of these in the late '70s. At that time Sansui had a new design driver board for them. Had a wake for one once. Involved pizza, vodka/OJ, and a sledgehammer. Landfill time.

Charles Turner
Thanks...I was afraid it was not worth the effort.
