I was fooling around with my settings on my rxv-800 tonight and found out that the main setting on the lfe sounds the best. Question is how will this affect my subwoofer and what do I need to set the hz to now.?

I have an RX-V1 Yamaha, when you set the swfr setting to main on the reciever, you won't get anything out of the sub. I keep mine set on both, that way I really get the boom on the bass, and it doesn't tax the mains as much. As far as the crossover hz, that is a matter of taste, I keep mine around 90.

thanks man,

I had mine set up on swfr and have changed it to both and it rocks now. Before I really could not hear it on the sat. only on dvds. Man it crazy what you have to do to get a good sound.
