pin
I plan to purchase a RC-3II for my center channel and the RB-5II for the mains. I then thought that most home theaters (THX)have the identical LCR speakers. I listen to music as much as view movies, so the sound must be crisp and clear. Is their a advantage using the RB-5II over the RC-3II, this the question. Information appreicated. PIin ------------------
maximilian
The RC-3 II should match fine. From the Klipsch description of the RB-5 II: "It is an ideal choice for a two-channel system, especially in conjunction with our RSW-10 powered subwoofer. Add the RC-3 II center channel and RS-3 II surrounds for an unequalled compact home theater system. "
lovedrummin
I have the RB5-IIs, RC3-II, & RS3-IIs with a KSW12 sub. I'm very satisfied with this set-up. I think it's great for music & movies. ------------------ Lew Not Too Old To Rock 'N' Roll
DrPyro
Pin- The Ref3 and Ref5 series have very simular tonal balance so you shouldn't really notice a major disharmony in the front sound stage. So your proposed setup of the using an RC-3 with RF-5s should be fine. In fact, IMHO the RF-5 and RF-3 are so simular that i would save the money and get the RF-3s, or spend the extra money and get the RF-7s (and RC7) they are significantly nicer then the RF3s & RF5s, but that is my personal preference. -Dave ------------------ Home Theater This message has been edited by DrPyro on 08-31-2002 at 10:07 PM
