Superman celebration

So you know how in other towns they have yearly fairs and shrimp frys or whatever?  Around here once a year everybody celebrates Superman.  Film festivals, 80's bands, movie trivia contests, super hero costume contests, celebrity appearances from TV shows and Superman movies and the guys who draw comic books, the whole 9 yards, like thousands of people turn into huge movie geeks for several days.  Here's the link if you're into that sort of thing, it is next week.  They do it because "Metropolis" is the fictional city that superman is from in the comics.
