Chase RLC-1 anyone have any experience with these?

In my research for a vintage SS amplifier, I came across one of these and thought it may be a good thing to have around.

I wonder if these disrupt the true performance of the amp itself?  Would it distort the amplifiers qualities (for lack of a better term)?

I won't run an equalizer because, to me, it just introduces more "noise" (again, lack of better).  It is my suspicion this unit would do the same.

Anyone have some experience with this unit?  Good/Bad?

Thanks,
