Xuhqtionerr
I have a question. I'm new to this whole scene and am wondering if upgrading my center channel from the r25 to the r450 is a good idea. I've been reading of timber matching and I'm not sure the upgrade would match. By no means am I an audiophile. Is it even going to be that much of a difference to justify to extra $? I use my system for just movies and games. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Currently own: 2 r28fs 2 r12sw 2 r15 r25c
RoboKlipsch
This setup is good as is. You can upgrade to other reference models but theres no need unless you feel you are missing something. With that said you could upgrade it and it would sound very good. Dont change until and unless you want something different.
derrickdj1
Timber matching is important but a bit over emphasised on the forum IMHO. If in the same line the issues are small. The Reference line will be very easy to swap speakers since they all have the same type of tweeter and bass driver. The IMG and aluminum based speakers may not be as interchangeable with the titanium and cerametallic component speakers. Choice of avr also comes into play. Some avrs can EQ the other speakers to the main.
