timerr
Let me try this post in this forum. I guess my level of equipment and level of understanding didn't get much attention over in the 2 channel room. Guess I'm not tubey enough. Does anyone one hear know much about Q sound technology. Again, my system in nothing to write about in the 2 channel forum, but "Amused To Death" by Waters amazes me. The fact that you can take sound that originates from a source in front of you... and have it sneak up behind you before you hear it going by your ear the first time is a sonic marvel to me. Any thoughts or other Q sound recordings worth mentioning?
lynnm
Try a search using Q-sound as the keyword. I have never heard it myself but I have seen positive and negative comments about it.
Lone Palm
Q-Sound was developed by Hughes Electronics to mimic the sonic hologram developed by George Carver utilizing conventional stereo. Pink Floyd used it on "THe Last Cut" and Roger Waters Used it on "The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking". It works but difficult to set up and only one person can hear the hologram.
