JCG2018
Hello everyone, I need a little expert advise from the community. I recently installed a set of in wall speakers and would like to paint the grill covers. Has anyone done this? If yes, what did you use, a spray or roller? Also did you remove the cloth that is on the inside of the grill? If you removed the cloth did you re-install it? I'm concerned the holes on the grill will clog and impact the sound out of the speaker. Thanks for the help, JCG
jason str
Use a quality Purdy mini roller such as the microfiber type. Before painting the grille roll the roller over some clean cardboard to remove excess paint off the roller to prevent drips and clogging the grille perforations. Roll gently. JCG2018
Thank you, I really appreciate it. Also, I should have researched the site a bit more before posting my question. I found another article that mentioned putting tape on the inside so if any paint went through, the tape would catch it. JG
