codydog
Brand new here, have a denon s910w which claims "... discrete circuit technology, the power amplifier provides identical quality for all 7-channels (125 Watts x 7-channels) ...". Currently have a klipsch r10swi for a sub, and two Boston Acoustic VR-M50, looking for a center, which one - R 450 or 500C? Open to other ideas too, thanks
willland
@codydog, Welcome to the forum. 17 hours ago, codydog said: Brand new here, have a denon s910w which claims "... discrete circuit technology, the power amplifier provides identical quality for all 7-channels (125 Watts x 7-channels) ...". Key word is "claims". Reread those specs. Note that the figure below is at 6 ohms, at only one frequency at 1kHz, and at 0.7% THD. Power Output (6 ohm, 1 kHz, 0.7% 2ch Drive)125 W More honest specs would be these below. 8 ohms, full bandwidth, and at .08% THD. Power Output (8 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% 2ch Drive)95 W With all that said, try not to mix speaker brands and model lines to have a more seamless timbre matching especially for your front soundstage. Klipsch speakers will be voiced very different from your Boston Acoustic speakers. Bill
