Mark in Wisconsin
Could someone confirm that the inductance value of the Heresey E-2 stock inductor is 4.0 mH? And could someone give me the DCR (direct current resistance) of the stock inductor? Thanks for the help! Mark in Wisconsin
Malcolm
Your question was answered 3 weeks ago. Did you bother to read the resposes?
Mark in Wisconsin
Malcom, dude, chill out! I did read the responses last time and I publicly acknowledged the comments made after I first posed this question. However, the first time around nobody could give me the DCR (resistance) of the stock inductors. In order to replace mine, I'd need to know inductance and resistance. This is why I posted the question again. Unfortunately, my meter will not measure low levels of resistance. Sorry this all rubbed you SO wrongly. Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated! Malcolm
I think you should use 4 mH 14 gauge or larger air core inductors.
JohnA
Mark, The DCR of the factory inductor is too high, no matter what it is. You should use an inductor with the lowest DCR you can fit and afford. Theoretical crossovers have no resistance. John
