Caesar
Hi guys, I'm new to to klipsch and intended to setup a home theater. I have purchased RP-504C, RP 8000f (pair), RP 500SA(pair) and one 10 inch klipsch Sub woofer. I have a Denon X3500H receiver. My question is am i able to setup a 5.1? Because i realized i need a pair bookshelf speaker. I will go for rp - 600M for next purchased(after few months) Regards Caesar
HenrikTJ
Yes, you would be able to have a 5.1 with those speakers. However, as i'm sure you have realized, the rp-500SA is not best suited as surrounds. Bookshelf speakers can also be used as surrounds. I myself use mine as side surrounds. In addition, you could also go for dipoles as side surrounds. Something like the RP-502S. There is a switch on it where you can choose to configure them as Atmos speakers or Elevation speakers. You can mount them on the wall near the ceiling and they will work fine for side surrounds. I own the RP-600M and it is an amazingly versatile speaker and sounds great. You can use them as mains on a 26" stand (mine are 18") and they can be used nearfield or as surround/back speakers.
