AcousticGuitarFan
Hello, I am interested in comments from Klipsch owners who run NAD amps, intergrated amps, and specifically NAD receivers with their Klipsch speakers. Upgrading my home theater system is the project at hand and a new receiver is first on the list. What are your opinions on a good pairing for the folllowing system: Fronts: RF3II Center: RC3II Rears: (until I can replace them) JBL L100T Sub: KSW 10 DVD/SACD/CD: SONY DVP-NS500V I am particularly interested in the NAD 751 or 752... The physical characteristics of the room: 15' X 19' Hardwood Floor with rug covering 80% of the room Any good advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
dougdrake
AGF - I have run a mid-80's NAD receiver with my KG4s for many years, and it sounded just great IMO. Not sure if the new stuff is like that vintage or not, but I think you'd be OK. I'd go for a 12" sub, though, if it were me. DD
dkbks
I haven't heard the RF3s but I do use the NAD 760 in my system. The pre-amp mains go to my previous amp, an Adcom 535 which powers my Cornwalls. The 760 powers the center & surrounds (currently an SC-1 & KSB 1.1s until I can afford Hereseys). No subwoofer as yet. So far I have been very pleased with this arrangement. I listen mostly to 2 channel music and a occasional movie and NAD has always emphasized the reproduction of music rather than a lot of bells & whistles. You might also consider an Outlaw 1050 which has many simarilarities to NAD.
Audio Flynn
I almost bought the NAD 761 as i remember the number. Three reasons I did not(very small reasons): 1. no analog pass through feature from what I could understand. Why have a good outboard DAC and run the analog through another DAC? 2. Crummy, arrogant NAD dealers in my area 3. Bought Sherwwod Newcastle demo separates for cheap I was down to NAD and Outlaw
j-malotky
Hi I currently am running 5 NAD amps in my HT. They are OK. For the price, they sound a lot better than other low cost amps. I have both the 216 and the old mid/late 80's 2200. The 2200's sound much better than the newer 216's. JM
