prodj101
would 2 monoblock tube amplifiers running in a stereo system be classified as monoblocks, or a stereo amplifier?
mobile homeless
They would be Monoblocks. A stereo amplifier simply means that both the left and right channels are contained in the same chassis. Monoblocks are simply a ONE CHANNEL mono amp. When one monoblock is used for the left channel and the other monoblock is used for the right, you have a stereo system run by monoblock amps. So in defining your system, you would say I am running monoblocks for amplification.
