timmyC
A lot of you seem to be against buying the advertised refurb 4.1's . . . it seems like a pretty good deal to me so I was wondering why some of you emphasized getting NEW speakers so much. I was originally looking at the Z560's, since I have a friend at Logitech who can get it for $130, but I figured $20 more wasn't too bad if I could get Klipsch's. Anyway, what do you think? worth the extra $50 at circuitcity (or $80 more than the logitechs) to get new ones?
Captain Nudey
I've had my refurbished 4.1 speakers for months now and I love them. They sound awesome at ear-shattering volumes. But still, for $50 more you might as well get brand new ones.
nmhusa
Go with brand new 4.1s for $199, or better still buy two sets of refurbs for $300, add an Audigy 2 and get 6.2 surround sound.....

timmyC
no i'm not . . . but no one's really answered yet, what's wrong with refurbs?

Go ahead and buy the refurbs if you want to save some money. It would just make better sense to spend $50 more and get a brand new set. Big Sheesh
TimmyC: Don't buy the refurbs. They suck. They are defect products regardless of how they try to market it. In my opinion, only go for BRAND new from an AUTHORIZED dealer. I've bought mine for 4 months now and I love them. No problems with hissing, quiet sound, and hot subs that most of the people posting here are complaining about.
