Rudy81 Posted November 30, 2002 Share Posted November 30, 2002 I have finally acquired the speakers for my Listening Room and HT. The room is 14'x23'x8' The receiver is a Marantz SR 7000 5.1 100Wpc receiver. I also have other amps available for use, all 100 WPC. I may go to a 7.1 system at a later date. I know the receiver is not the optimum for great audio, but I'm handling one crisis at a time. The speakers are: Pair of Belles Pair of Heresey II's Pair of Chorus II's Pair of Forte The HT will feature a Front Projector with a 90" or 100" screen. This will be a dedicated media room. dougdrake Posted December 2, 2002 Share Posted December 2, 2002 This is just my opinion, and I've been known to be wrong... The 2 things I think of about using the Chorus II instead of the Heresy II for the center are: 1) The Heresy was designed way back as a center for the Heritage series, and more closely shares the sound of the other Heritage speakers in the midrange and tweeter. 2) The Chorus II uses a Tractrix horn for the midrange (where a lot of your center channel audio will play from) which would give a different sound to it than the exponential horns of the Belle (I would imagine, anyhow).
