R-51M Static

Hello!

I have no knowledge on passive speakers whatsoever and I bought these speakers on Black Friday for $120 and I thought it was a good deal, though I did not do my research on it before I bought it hence why I'm here. I currently just want to have good and crisp sounds from my PC since the reason why I bought these is because my monitors do not have built in speakers, so I thought the idea of bookshelf speakers were a good touch.

I've been asking around multiple audio shops and so far I am running the speakers > power amp > audio interface > PC motherboard.

I am using banana plugs for the speakers and they're plugged in to the back of my power amp (I double checked for loose connections and there are none)

I then used RCA cables from the power amp to my Behringer 302usb audio interface (picked it up for free so I wanted to plug it in as well).

Originally I was just going to skip the AI and go from the power amp to my PC but no audio was received or is very faint, (RCA cable to a single aux plug end).

With everything connected, I am so to speak not getting the full power of these speakers even though I can hear some audio still, just with a lot of static. I was told that it could be loose connections with the cables but everything is tight. So my conclusion is probably I plugged it into the wrong place or my PC motherboard doesn't have the correct inputs.

Does anyone know what could be causing these static noises?

As in whenever I play any type of audio, there is a lot of static noise and sounds like a really old iPhone speaker (all my mic volumes are off or set to 0)

I also have a sound card for my PC I could use but I do not know if that is necessary (Sound Blaster Z).

Thank you! I don't know anything about audio so please don't bash on me :D

I would try to isolate the speakers and power amp and see if they work together. Can you drive the power amp with a tuner or CD player? Do you have a preamp? If the power amp and the speakers sound good when driven by a CD or a tuner then you at least know they and the cables between them are working.
