John Ek
I’m new to Klipsch, having recently started to look at the brand thank’s to several positive reviews. I listen to many musical genres (mainly rock, pop, classic rock, metal, country, jazz, classical) and need speakers that work well with most types of music. I’ve tried many different brands over time, most recently JBL L100 classic. The JBL, surprisingly, worked very well with classical music and jazz in my room, less well with classic rock (too strident, they emphasize flaws in the recordings). In general the soundstage is good in terms of depth and height and I like the scale, no problems there. So to keep the scale and live feeling of the JBLs I am looking at if Cornwall IV (or maybe Forte III) may suit me better. Cornwall IVs are getting positive reviews but I can’t really judge if they suit my taste in music. Also saw a review on YouTube where a potential drawback was brought up, strange sound when playing loud, anyone else notice this? Thank’s in advance! Shakeydeal
I’m not sure what their definition of loud is, but I play mine up to 90+ dB at times which seems plenty loud for rock or metal. I also listen to a lot of jazz, bluegrass, Americana etc. and I think the CW IV is exceptional with all genres. Shakey
