AUGIE
My system is currently all synergy, SB2s and SC1 in front with SS.5s in the rear and the Synergy 12" for the sub. My reciver has 6.1 surround and I need to incorparate a rear center speaker. Instead of having another SC1 hanging from the celing I would like to have a built in. How will this sound and whats the best speaker from the synergy line to accomplish this?
rjb294
I have been serching and really can't find anything that is just made as an in-wall speaker. You can build a speaker into the wall, but not have a true in-wall speaker. Maybe someone else can help, but I haven't been able to find anything useful. Cool idea though. Ryklipsch
Try some car audio speakers, run two together to get your 8 ohms,I have seen plenty of home theatres that have car audio and seems to be the way to go.You could run 4 across the back of your room two for each channel,Use about 4" to 6 1/2" size. AUGIE
Thanks guys, how about the SCR-2 from the synergy line for the rear? Anyone have experience with this speaker? I haven't hung the dry wall yet so anything is possible now. I'm just not sure what kind of sound comes from the rear center, and if it would sound wierd being admitted from the ceiling? Any experience with 6.1 out there?
Dale W
If you want to jump out of the klipsch line , check out www.atlantictechnology.com they have some neet inwall gear. while your there look at the dual inwall sub systems, very cool . PoloBroker
I used the RCR 5's for both rear surround and rear center channel. Incredible! I found most of my equipment and speakers on ebay. If your are patient and have the time you can find a single listed every now and then; and probally the series your are looking for. Good luck. Walt
Mind if I ask "why" you chose the RCR 5's instead of the SCR 3s? I'm shopping for some in-ceiling speakers to somewhat match my KG4s (fronts).
