Sir Capsaicin
I have owned my Klipsch 3.1 system for quite some time now and am just finally starting to look at ways to upgrade what I got. admittedly I am rather partial to keeping my 3.1 setup but quickly realize I have no idea what I am doing LOL. I am thinking that my first real upgrade would be an amp. I have looked at Marantz as well as the Denon sites and am not really sure how to compare. is there a dummies guide to understanding 2 channel vs 7 channel amps, how to compare brands based upon my need, and the mathematics around how to determine how much extra power I need? Is this the right place to ask for some help? My current setup: R-12SW (x1) RP-8000F (L & R) RP-504C Pioneer SC-LX501 (Receiver)
wuzzzer
I had that same receiver. It doesn't have pre-amp outputs so you can't add a separate amp to it.
Sir Capsaicin
ah - good point. then it sounds like I am DOA until I change out the receiver. Thanks!
