Jeepter
Has anyone had any experience with the SPL-100 coming undone/unglued internally? Received a new SPL-100 subwoofer and noticed a sound similar to something rattling/sliding around. When I removed the subwoofer from the box and removed the plastic wrapper, I pointed the bass reflex slot on the front of the speaker toward the floor and a chunk of pressed wood (MDF) fell out of the slotted bass port on the front of the unit. See photos attached. I contacted Klipsch support and they didn't know what it was. The rep initially thought it was an accessory that was in a separate wrapping. After putting me on hold for a few minutes, he came back and thought that it might have been a structural piece that came unglued. I returned the item. Not feeling too good about SPL-100 subwoofer. I appreciate any insight(s) anyone may have. Edited November 17, 2021 by Jeepter incomplete sentence corrected
wuzzzer
Looks to be a brace of some sort that wasn't glued correctly.
