WinDVD 4

While watching a movie, if I go to the setup and look at the information on the DVD being played (such as bitrate, etc.) the LFE is always set as off. Why is this? How can I turn it on? I have tried using DVD Genie but it has no effect.

Secondly, how do I get DTS on my computer?

My computer specs are nothing great, but it does its job well. I'll probably upgrade after I have my home theater up and running. 1.gif

Here are the specs:

AOpen DVD-1640 Pro -16X DVD/40X CD-

ATI Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO -retail version- (ATI Catalyst 02.5 driver)

I wouldn't bother with windvd 4 its junk. I dunno what they've done but I've never been able to get proper surround with it. I've tried using my Audigy 1 , 2 and my GTXP. All say that they're 5.1 cards but when I go to play a movie I only hear audio out of the front left and right channels.

Try PowerDVD XP. It works perfect; Does DD5.1, DTS, DDEX and DTS ES.
