roy
ok watched the movie the other night as I went into it with the assumption that it was a silly action picture..lol and I was right!! but the sound quality is good and the use of the surround channels is very well done!! in some scenes you hear different things coming out all five channels at same time and the bass in some scenes is deep and powerful but the explosions are not as dynamic as other dvd movies that i have reviewed here in past!let me hear your comments about this movie or others on dvd that you were surprised by either good or bad! ------------------ my equipment: klipsch rf-3 (main) klipsch center ch speaker boston acoustics (rear) mirage ss-1500 subwoofer yamaha 795 receiver driving center and rears adcom 545 amp driving rf-3s mirage subwoofer 1500 watts! sony 650 dvd/cd player sony minidisc/cd player combo panasonic hifi vcr waiting to see what new reference line will sound like in 2001!! afraid
Charlies Angels rocks! This is the only movie this year that i enjoyed enough to go see twice. I love kung fu movies and this stuff was done very well.
jeffgeorge
I was pretty dissappointed with "The Perfect Storm". I thought the dialogue was recorded too low and the action scenes all had the same sound to them, although how do you mix-up the sound, when its all rushing water. Anyway, I thought that overall, it lacked depth. Maybe I was expecting more. ------------------ RF-3's : mains RC-3 : center RS-3's : surrounds KSW10 X 2 : subwoofers Receiver: Denon 2801 DVD: Panasonic DVD-A120 CD: Yamaha CDC-765 Cables: Tributaries Sat Receiver: Hughes Direct-TV DD5.
