SPL-150 cone temps

Recommended Posts

Sort of new to owning klipsch speakers, at least when it comes to subs, and was wondering how hot to the touch the cone can get before I should lay off the volume? I have pushed it hard a little bit and I noticed it wasnt really warm but not cool either, so perhaps I can continue playing it at high levels? Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you aren't hearing distortion you should be fine, although I'd worry about your ears if you continue to listen that loudly.

Thanks, though I'm not entirely sure if I'd be able to distinguish if the speaker is distorting or not. Woud it be obvious?
