hi , and yup, i have had onkyo, and sony dvd players, both were good, but the rotel is heads above the rest. in clarity, sound, resolution. it is a very intuitive machine once you select all of the parameters. pop in a disc, and away you go the dvd-a is absoutly awesome. the picture is much brighter and defined, much more like you are there, combining the pik and sound it is just a better viewing experience, plus i buy at listen up, 1 of the better high end shops here in denver, and it is the machine they use to demo thier high end tv's. check it out on rotels site, i am sure it has all of the funtionality you might need. it does not however play cdr's12.gif

Hmmm... that would be a constraining factor in my purchase. My Sony cd player doesn't play my burned discs, either, so I usually listen to them through my Toshiba DVD player.

Thanks for the information...
