danga
I recently inherited a RT-10d subwoofer and am trying to get the amp panel out to take a look at the boards. I've been able to get past the gum seal and pop out the panel, but I can't pull the panel more than about .5 - 1 cm before I feel like I'm tugging on something too hard. Do I need to disconnect something before I pull the panel out further?

Just remove one of the passive radiators and you'll be able to see things better. There's a lot jammed into a small space. If someone opened it up before, they may have wrapped wires around things they shouldn't have. If the amp doesn't work, it's pretty much spare parts at this point. I just turned mine into a passive sub yesterday.

Excellent idea - I'll try to jimmy one of those out then.
Iteachstem
You can use a t-15 torx bit. Philips head screwdriver doesn't work.

How do I get the red and black cables unconnected from the board itself? Klipsch FAQs say to use a screwdriver to push the clasp in and the connector will come out, but I think I'm doing something wrong because all I can move is the insulation over the lead.
