duckloads
Good afternoon, I recently bought a pair of Ksf 8.5's, and upon initial playing, one of the woofers spounded like it was blown. Further investigation showed a loose wire inside at the woofer. All of the wires inside looked pitifully small. Is there any benefit to upgrading the wire size? I pre-wired the house with 12 ga. wire with the longest run being about 30 ft. I almost feel that I wasted my money on the 12 ga. after seeing what was inside the speakers. Any / all comments appreciated. Thanks, Chris
M6 Driver
The same wire from your 8.5's (gauge wise) you'll find in any KLIPSCH speaker excluding the hyped up marketing tool of Monster Cable installed in all Reference and newly re-released Heritage speakers. justin_tx_16
think about how short the wire runs are inside the speaker cabinet. you really don't need very low guage wire.
