ben.
Quick question-probably an easy one for many of you. I have a nice pair of K-horns that I'm just beginning to enjoy on my newly restored Scott 299C (thanks Ryan-sounds great-I'll email you). Anyway, I have two questions. 1) Model # KB-WL S/N 8P211 , 8P210 I think this means walnut lacquer finish, can anybody give me a build date on this sweethearts? I can give more numbers if there is more to be found. 2) I understand some people use the 4 ohm tap, some use the 8 ohm tap on the outputs-any subjective preferences out there? dougdrake
Consulting my handy decoder ring, the P would indicate a vintage of 1976, the bicentennial year! DD
JohnA
A bottle of Lemon Oil, well chilled, and a Class A diet will get you "Home". The K-horn varies from a low of 4 ohms in the bass to a little over 30 ohms in the midrange with the tweeter running at 8 ohms. I'd say the 8 ohm tap would be the best compromise, but you should try both.
