weikman
The indicater LED that indicates signal input status from source ( tuner, cd,tv) usually is red when no signal is present and green when power to the source is applied and signal is sent to the sub. The problem, Its always red. I've tested the signal coming to the sub and it is there. I have tried the sub input modes auto, on, & off. No matter what, the light is always red, oh yeah... More importantly the sub does not come on!!!!!! Help please
michael hurd
You could check the fuse yourself. I recall that a batch were originally having problems with fuses, I don't remember why, but you could search the archives here. If the fuse is burnt, then you can replace it youself. If it isn't blown or it blows again, then definately you have a problem.
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted February 8, 2003 Klipsch Employees Share Posted February 8, 2003 Yes, do check the fuse. If it is blown try Radio Shack part number 270-1022 for the ksw-12 and 270-1021 for the ksw-10. Each fuse is a bit larger than the original, but will work fine.
JJT
Sure about a blown fuse, from what I understood of Weikman's post he indicated the LED is always red. Wouldn't the LED not be lit at all if the subs fuse is blown? Just for curiosity I pulled the fuse out of my KSW-12, the LED went from red to not lit. Joe T. Guest BobG
The subwoofer needs to be serviced. If you purchased from an authorized dealer, it is covered by warranty. Take it to your dealer.
