Is this a great tube preamp to restore and/or modify? Can it compete with EICO and H.H. Scott preamps, etc? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! The EICO HF-85 is a great sounding little jewel and the HH Scott 130 is said to be a great unit. Which is why I just bought one . I sure hope there right but I can bet they are since it is similar to the Integrated amps front end that I like so much. I would bet the Fisher is a nice unit but again I'm just guessing.
