artto Posted February 20, 2003 Share Posted February 20, 2003 First....Dump the mid/high horns on one of the units to reduce the comb filter effect which is making the the Freq. resps. very jagged. On the other hand...if you like that kind of sound,,,,keep it. On the tube side....Push pull amps were discovered to do one thing especially well...inherently reduce noise & hum. As an added benefit, they also happened to increase power output. While horns perform best with an exceptionally clean signal, they also despise things like hum & noise. Its a "catch22". Take your choice. Its your ears & only you have to listen to it. For what its worth....I'm using push pull class A triode. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
